All of our Premium Loops have .mp3 samples to listen to the entire track; this one, however, is a free loop created by Seth Haberman and available at Loop Community.

It's standard stereo loop--click left and right, because we usually run the click track live through Ableton Live, and the click is on a third isolated mono channel.

However, you'll be able to edit the .rns file, so you can just add a click track and pan everything else one way!

Hope this helps,
Nick

Lee;

I think it's due to the fact that PayPal won't accept $0 transactions. Give us a little while to take a look at the issue, and we'll come up with something!

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.

I've been trying to download this loops, but it keeps failing.
This is the error message that I get:

SetExpressCheckout API call failed.
Detailed Error Message: This transaction cannot be processed. The amount to be charged is zero.
Short Error Message: Invalid Data
Error Code: 10525
Error Severity Code: Error

Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the loop?
Thanks :)

Hey Nathan;

Actually, most of the loops we create here are done in Reason (4 or 5). These .rns files can be edited, so you'll be able to open the Reason file and pan everything left or right. Once you do that, you can create a Redrum with a "click" sound, and just pan that track opposite of the others.

Export this new file as an .aif or .mp3, and it'll be a stereo track--click on one side, loop on the other.

However, the "recommended" way of using a loop is to create a file with 3 channels: a stereo loop on the right and left, and a click on a third channel. In order to set up your band to use this type of file, you'll need two things right off the bat: a hardware unit called an interface that can handle more than two channels simultaneously (as most PCs/laptops can't do more than L/R output), and a piece of software that can direct those channels to the right place (again, because things like iPhones/iTunes/etc. can't do this). Reason and Ableton Live can both set specific tracks to an audio interface.

In both of the aforementioned programs, you can even set up a click for each song, and it will sync up with your loop. This click can be sent to a third channel in your interface, and can then go to an IEM system or a headphone amp.

Further, if you still want to run a basic L/R setup, we'll prepare a .rns file and/or an .mp3 file for you that is set up this way. Just check out our premium loops, and send us an email with your requirements!

Hope this helps--let me know!
Thanks,
Nick

Nick,

I'm still not quite sure how to get started using these loops that don't have a click track associated directly with them, especially if I just download the mp3 or AIF file.

Is it required that I input these into some LIVE audio production software? What options are there for this?

How do we ensure the click doesn't get out of sync with the loop?

Thanks in advance for your help.
