A

  • All Because of Jesus – Steve Fee [rns]
    • Loop by Stu Cash
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★★★½
    • Overall: This version highlights the top-end of the EQ spectrum–the melody line during the intro/interludes. Played with a lead instrument (electric guitar, violin, etc.), this loop fits a standard 5-piece rock band exceptionally well. Easy-to-follow breaks and harmonic motion make this a win–and it follows the CCLI lead sheet quite well.
  • All Because of Jesus – Steve Fee [rns available at SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: Sounds a lot like the original with a different sound in the strings and main melodic figures.
  • All the Earth Will Sing Your Praises – Paul Baloche [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★★☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★☆☆☆☆
    • Overall: Just the drums, but well-made arrangement that seems to follow the original well.

B

  • Better Days - Goo Goo Dolls [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: Surprisingly this Goo Goo Dolls tune makes an excellent Christmas song, and this loop follows almost precisely the original version.
  • Be Thou My Vision – Traditional [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★☆☆☆☆
    • Overall: Just the standard hymn with a church instrumentation; very traditional and meant to be a vocal accompaniment track.
  • Blessed Be the Name – Matt Redman [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by C.J. Bergmen
    • Playability ★★★☆☆
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: Bergmen’s arrangement is pretty standard–not too uncommon, considering most versions of Blessed Be the Name are the same I – V – vi – IV progression throughout the song. His creative input gives the song something new to listen for, with a slowly building instrumentation and complexity during the length of the song.
  • Blessed Be the Name – Matt Redman [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★☆☆☆
    • Overall: A bit simpler version, but it follows the structure and harmonic motion well.
  • Blessed Be the Name – Matt Redman [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★☆☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: Very difficult to follow; very creative use of synths and other instruments.

    • Loop by Days Past Band
    • Playability ★★★½☆

    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★★★

E

  • Everlasting God - New Life Worship [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★½☆
    • Overall: Truly a beautiful song, Glen Packiam’s church, New Life Worship, provides a solid offering or communion/reflection song. The loop follows the original except for an extended intro and outro section. A must-have for any repertoire.
  • Everything Glorious – David Crowder Band [mp3 | rns]
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★½☆☆
    • Overall: This loop is basically the exact loop DCB uses live–it follows the form, structure, and style, and includes the same basic elements. While not overtly creative in its own right, if you need something that sounds like what DCB uses–this is it.
  • Everything – Tim Hughes [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: “Everything” by Tim Hughes is a popular congregational worship song, and this loop is easy to follow and creative in its instrumentation and harmonic design. Works very well with a standard band or worship ensemble, and provides enough rhythmic texture to keep everyone together.

  • Foreverandever Etc… - David Crowder Band [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by C.J. Bergmen
    • Playability ★★★★☆

  • Freedom Is Here – Hillsong United [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by Seth Haberman
    • Playability ★★★☆☆
    • Creativity ½☆☆☆☆
    • Overall: There’s not much going on here, just a Maelstrom patch that plays the main riff throughout. While the patch is correct and sounds cool–you’ll still need a solid band backing this one.

G

  • Gloria 34 – Taylor Sorensen [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★☆☆☆☆
    • Overall: This loop is another great one for Easter; easy to follow, and sounds almost identical to the original.
  • The Glory of It All – David Crowder Band [mp3 | rns]
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★☆
    • Overall: Once again, if you want to sound like DCB on the platform, this one’s for you–very stylistically accurate, and very cool drum stuff going on during the second verse and interlude. Easy to follow if you know the click from the beginning and just use a little solo acoustic guitar from the top.
  • Glory to God Forever - Steve Fee [rns]
    • Loop by Patrick Hobart
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★☆
    • Overall: Patrick did a great job with this one–it follows Fee’s version exactly, and sounds an awful lot like the album as well.
  • God of This City – Bluetree [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4) | vocal cue]
    • Overall: If you liked the intensity that Bluetree was able to inject in the original song, but the harmonic motion of Chris Tomlin’s, check out this loop from Kyle Campos at OurRisingSound.com. The structure is different and can be hard to follow if you don’t know where each section starts, so here’s a road map from Kyle’s site:
      • Intro: 0:00 – 0:40
      • Verse 1: 0:40
      • Interlude: 1:05
      • Pre-Chorus: 1:18
      • Chorus: 1:33 (I pull a break here @ 1:50 and just the vocal “still to be done here” is sung)
      • Interlude: 1:52
      • Verse 2: 2:17
      • Pre-Chorus: 2:42
      • Chorus: 2:57 (repeated)
      • Instrumental: 3:41
      • Pre-Chorus (breakdown): 4:06
      • Chorus: 4:34 (repeated)
      • Instrumental/Outro: 5:16
  • God of This City – Chris Tomlin [mp3]
    • Loop by Dan Hilber
    • Playability ★★★½☆
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: While Bluetree’s version of God of the City is a bit more techno-driven, Chris’ version has some strong points–namely that it’s a great corporate worship song, and this loop follows suit. A bit of time will be needed to get the arrangement under your belt, but it sounds good nonetheless.
  • Grace Like Rain – Todd Agnew [rns]
    • Loop by Scott Bartholomew
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: Sounds exactly like the original; a great rendition of the standard Amazing Grace hymn. Use this loop as a blended worship style that provides a throwback to the new and old.

H

  • Hark! the Herald Angels Sing – Traditional Christmas [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★☆☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★☆☆☆☆
    • Overall: This one’s quite different. Almost techno meets trance-punk, this version is definitely something new. Pretty basic, as it follows the same traditional structure, but the instrumentation is something to check out.
  • Here Is Our King – David Crowder Band [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by C.J. Bergmen
    • Playability ★☆☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★☆☆☆☆
    • Overall: This version is a little rough around the edges, hard to follow, and doesn’t maintain a harmonic structure as well as some of the others. It does have a decent chorus sound toward the middle of the song.
  • Hosanna – Hillsong United [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: If you plan to play Hosanna in a worship service anytime soon, you need to check out this loop–it follows the recorded version exactly, save for an extra two times through the vi – I – ii – iii progression before the bridge. Very “rocked-out” and a little on the heavier side.
  • How I Live - Kyle Campos [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
  • How He Loves - David Crowder Band [mp3 | rns]
    • Loop by Will Wright
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★☆
    • Overall: This one’s easy–just play it straight through, watch out for the half-phrase after the first chorus (I – vi goes directly back to I), and you’ll be fine.

I

  • I Will Rise - Chris Tomlin [rns]
    • Loop by LoopingWorship
    • Playability: ★★★★★
    • Creativity: ★★★½☆
    • Overall: Follows Tomlin’s arrangement exactly (except for an additional time through the form after the first chorus), and the CCLI lead sheet as well. Has a nice beat in the second verse, and some cool textures in the bridge.
  • In Christ Alone - Newsboys [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★☆☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★★☆☆☆
    • Overall: Hard to follow; a decent job emulating the original.
  • In Christ Alone – Newsboys [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★★☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: Better than other arrangements, but still a bit hard to follow.

J

  • Jesus Messiah - Chris Tomlin [rns]
    • Loop by LoopingWorship.com
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: This loop follows Tomlin’s original exactly, and adds some techno-esque beats and synths to wake up the arrangement a bit. Very easy to follow and is exactly the same structure as the CCLI version.

L

  • Lead Me to the Cross – Hillsong United [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: This song can be a powerful congregational favorite, and this loop neither gets in the way of a solid band nor leaves too much of the song open. An offbeat kick drum starts out the intro and continues throughout, so to get a good feel for how the loop works, check out the version with acoustic guitar.
  • Little Drummer Boy – Traditional Christmas [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★★☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★☆☆☆☆
    • Overall: Very groovy, but it’s only the drums. You’ll need to work out your own arrangement for this one.

M

  • Make A Joyful Noise – David Crowder Band [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by C.J. Bergmen
    • Playability ★★★☆☆
    • Creativity ★★☆☆☆
    • Overall: Pretty basic approach, but well-done. Sounds a bit grungy, but workable.
  • Marvelous Light - Charlie Hall [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by Matt Adams
    • Playability ★★★☆☆
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: A little hard to follow without a shaker or drummer, but the sounds and style are enough to make this one a good choice.
  • Mighty to Save – Hillsong United [mp3]
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: Add a little shaker or use some IEM, and this arrangement will sound great. The ethereal choir sounds are enough to fill out a weak or small ensemble, but the added bonuses are the chimes and vibes parts. Very cool indeed.
  • My Soul Sings – Delirious? [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★☆☆
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: A bit sparse on the verse, but a nice build to the end makes this loop a great congregational worship backing track.

N

  • Neverending – David Crowder Band [mp3 | rns]
    • Loop by Isaac Sung
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: Complete with the dorky video game sounds and the cheesy voices, this loop sounds an awful lot like DCB’s original.
  • No One Like You – David Crowder Band [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by C.J. Bergmen
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: Different than the recorded version; much funkier. Relatively easy to follow as is, but needs some additional Refill packs.
  • Not to Us – Chris Tomlin [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by C.J. Bergmen
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★☆☆☆
  • Nothing But the Blood - Matt Redman [mp3 | rns]
    • Loop by Will Flora
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: Matt Redman’s version of Nothing But the Blood is a great addition to the hymn, and this arrangement picks up where he left off. Start and end with the hymn, and you’re good to go. Just follow along exactly with the original, and you’ll be fine. Great use of drums and synths too.

O

  • O Come, All Ye Faithful - Traditional Christmas [rns]
    • Loop by LoopingWorship.com
    • Playability ★☆☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★★★★☆

  • O Come, O Come, Emmanuel – Traditional Christmas [rns]
    • Loop edited by LoopingWorship.com
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: This version has some great buildups and climactic points, and the white noise is interesting as well. Very original sounding.
  • O Come, O Come, Emmanuel – Traditional Christmas [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ★★★★½
    • Creativity ★★★★☆
    • Overall: A little more metric and balanced than other versions, but very complicated and thought-out Reason file. Use it with a foot pedal for maximum effect.
  • O Holy Night - Traditional Christmas [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Playability ½☆☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: For such a powerful song, this loop lacks the energy and drive that we expect. It’s nearly impossible to follow, and the instrumentation sounds very bright and choppy.
  • O Praise Him – David Crowder Band [mp3]
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: Another great loop that follows DCB’s arrangement closely. Just follow it straight down the page (it goes well with CCLI’s lead sheet) and you’ll be fine.
  • Our God Reigns – Delirious? [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★☆☆
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: This song has such a powerful melody line, anything would work well as a loop around it. This original Delirious? version is pretty cool and has some very artistic stuff going on. Great job, Kyle!
  • Our Love Is Loud – David Crowder Band [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by C.J. Bergmen
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★☆
    • Overall: Neat arrangement with a driving bass line and some good development throughout.

  • Silent Night – Traditional Christmas [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by Jay Snider
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★☆
    • Overall: Although difficult to follow in the beginning, this is a very creative yet simple loop.
  • So Near - Vineyard UK [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
  • Solid Rock – Delirious? [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
  • The Solid Rock – Rain City Hymnal [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4) | vocal cue]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: As always, Kyle does an outstanding job creating a workable–yet extremely creative–version of great tunes. This loop is a bit different on the surface, due to the fact that the actual recorded version of the song is so unique and different from Edward Mote’s original version. If you haven’t heard the Rain City Hymal, check it out–it’s a compilation of modern-sounding hymns.
  • Song of Hope – Robbie Seay Band [rns available from SacredLoops.org]
    • Loop by Patrick Hobart
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
  • The Stand – Hillsong United [rns | mp3]
    • Loop by LoopingWorship.com
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★★½☆
    • Overall: Pretty easy to follow; just wait for the two measures (8 beats) of shaker to start the first verse. Once you hit the chorus, the bottom drops out and it’s just repeated until the end.
  • Sweetly Broken – Jeremy Riddle [rns | mp3]
    • Loop by LoopingWorship.com
    • Playability ★★★★★
    • Creativity ★★★★½
    • Overall: Very similar to the original with a neat reverse-piano intro and some synth stuff thrown in.

T

  • True Love - Phil Whickham [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★★★★
    • Overall: True Love is gaining much attention as a popular Easter tune, and this version is great for adding some video/drama content at the beginning–Kyle gives almost 2 minutes to do just that in this version of the loop. Also, here’s his included road map:
      • Intro: Long 2 minute intro.
      • Verse 1: Starts at 2:12 (bar 55)
      • Chorus 1: Starts at 2:41(bar 67)
      • Verse 2: Starts at 3:30 (bar 87)
      • Chorus 2: Starts at 4:00 (bar 99)
      • Bridge: Starts at 4:48 (bar 119)
      • Chorus 3: Starts at 5:08 (bar 127) – I sing the second half of the chorus twice “When blood and water…”
      • Ending: You’ll notice the final chord is not faded, I plan to wash out the chord and cut the ending tight.

  • We Cry Out – Kim Walker [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★☆☆☆
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: While a great song, this one sounds only marginally better with a loop. Rather than use this loop as a backing track, focus mainly on using it as a click track for your drummer (or you if you have an IEM).
  • What If – Matt McCoy [mp3]
    • Loop by John Allen
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
  • Where We Belong – Hillsong United [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
    • Playability ★★★★☆
    • Creativity ★★★☆☆
    • Overall: One of the better songs off Hillsong United’s “This Is Our God” album, this loop is easy to use and follow, and allows some places for flexibility as well.
  • Where You Go I’ll Go – Brian and Jenn Johnson [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
  • With Everything – Hillsong United [aif | mp3 | mid | rns (4)]
    • Loop by Kyle Campos
